I am an award-winning Queensland-based film and television director, and a graduate of the Master of Arts directing program at AFTRS. My graduation film MILK was selected for Official Competition in Cannes and a long list of international film festivals. I spent the early years of my directing career focussing on short-form productions - television commercials and music videos. I won the Triple J Best Australian Music Video Award in 2010 for a clip for music artist WASHINGTON. During this time, I directed three more award-winning short films, and in 2017 I was funded to direct the first of the Stan Originals features with a psychological thriller THE SECOND. Released in cinemas and on Stan in 2018, THE SECOND was nominated for a ‘Best Indie Film’ AACTA, a Logie Award, and SPAA’s ‘Feature Film of the Year’. In 2019 I embarked on my first major television directing gig with an episode of Hoodlum’s procedural drama series HARROW. I directed two more episodes of HARROW in 2020, and then more recently, a block of CJZ and Acorn’s DARBY AND JOAN with Bryan Brown and Greta Scacchi. I have a range of long-form projects in development as a director and producer, including a feature film adaptation of the American novel THE SECRET LIVES OF DRESSES set for production in 2023. Although my passion is directing, I am also committed to supporting the emerging generation of cinematic storytelling voices as an educator and mentor. I am currently the Queensland Chapter Head for the Australian Director’s Guild.
